Microblading vs lamination vs tint
These are different appointments. Microblading, and powder brows beside it, aim at a longer-lasting shape in the skin. Lamination and tint change the brows you already have, and they grow out or fade. Brow Preview is only for that longer-lasting shape. If you are booking lamination or a tint, you do not need this preview.

When a shape preview helps
Use Brow Preview when the appointment is about a lasting shape: microblading, or powder brows. Pick one of ten shapes and Hair-stroke or Powder. You leave with a PNG and a Brow Brief to take to that consult. The picture is still not a healed result, and the artist should pre-draw on your face.
Preview a microblading or powder shape
Lamination
Lamination sets the brow hairs you already grow. It can make them look fuller and more lifted for a while. It cannot draw a tail you do not have, and it will not still be there the way a healed microblading stroke might. A shape preview of a brow that is not your own hair will not answer “what will lamination do to my brows?” Ask that technician to show you healed or grown-out examples, and to style a sample on you if they offer one.
Tint
A tint changes colour, not the map of the brow. It is a reasonable visit when you like your shape and want the hairs to show up more. It is a poor match for “I want a different arch.” Do not book a permanent-shape preview as if it were a tint simulator. If you are choosing between a tint and microblading, the real question is whether you want a temporary colour or a longer-lasting shape.
Common questions
Is microblading the same as brow lamination?
No. Microblading places a longer-lasting shape in the skin. Lamination restyles the hairs you already have, and it grows out. Only the microblading or powder path is what Brow Preview is for.
Does a brow tint change my shape?
No. Tint colours existing hairs. It fades. It does not build a new arch. You do not need a permanent-shape preview for a tint appointment.
Where does powder fit?
Powder is the other longer-lasting technique on Brow Preview, next to Hair-stroke. If that is the appointment you are booking, preview it. Lamination and tint still do not use that preview.
